"According to Novinite.com, Ronnie James Dio (DIO, RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH), DEEP PURPLE's Ian Gillan and many more from world rock are set to become an inseparable part of Bulgaria's Black Sea attractiveness. Statues of the rock legends who have performed there will rise in a local "Walk of Rock," media said. Understandably, the idea for the rock creation occurred in Kavarna. The small town on the northern coastline has become in recent years a hotspot for rock performances, and this summer will not be an exception. Ian Gillan and Ronnie James Dio will be the first to have their statues rising in Kavarna's main park. Artists in Sofia will create the rock sculptures for free, as a gift to the people of Kavarna, media say." Die mesten von euch werden sich wahrscheinlich fragen, wo der Zusammenhang zwischen DP und Kavarna (eine kleine und vor dem Rock Summer 2005 nicht so berühmte Stadt, liegt an der Nordküste des Schwarzen Meer) her kommt - letzten Sommer haben Deep Purple ein geniales Konzert in Kavarna im Rahmen des Rock Festivals gespielt, die 20 000 DP-Fans waren absolut begeistert von der fantastischen Show - es war einfach fantastisch...!!!
